Frequently Asked Questions

How does a so.med subscription work?

At the start of each content cycle, you’ll be given access to the month’s list of curated pediatric topics. Choose twelve for your practice’s monthly media plan. Then, before you can say Ortolani and Barlow five times fast (technically two to three weeks), we’ll have those twelve social media infographic templates delivered to your inbox.

If you’re a Hands Off or Hand Holder client, your templates will be customized to your practice’s brand standards and ready for us to post once we receive your stamp of approval.

If you’re a Hands On client, you’ll be ready to open your templates in Canva, make a few clicks to update to your brand standards, and then post on your own as your heart desires. You can also tweak the captions to match your exact practice details before posting.

What does a so.med subscription include?

All so.med subscribers will receive their choice of twelve monthly social media post templates with accompanying captions. Some subscriptions also offer the option to upgrade to include customization, post scheduling, ad design, and blog/newsletter creation.

How many posts will come with my subscription each month?

All so.med subscribers will receive their choice of twelve monthly pediatrician-approved social media post templates.

When will I receive the topics list to review?

Approximately six weeks prior to the first day of the content month.

For example, for content that will be scheduled in October, you would receive the list of topics to make your selections on August 15.

When are my topic selections due back to you?

Your topic choices are due 7 days after you receive the list of topic options (typically the 22nd of the month). If you fail to make your selections by the deadline, we will select your posts randomly from the options available.

For example, for content that will be scheduled in October, your topic selections would be due on August 22.

When will I receive my post templates?

If you’ve chosen the Hands On package, you’ll receive your post templates around the first day of the month prior to the start of the content month. At that point, simply log into your Canva account, customize your templates, add captions, and schedule your posts to run on your social platforms.

If you’ve chosen the Hands Off or Hand Holder packages, you’ll receive your customized posts and captions around the 10th of the month prior to the start of the content month. You’ll then have 5 days to request any necessary edits before we schedule your content.

If I choose the Hands Off or Hand Holder plan, when will you send me my content for review?

You’ll receive your customized posts and captions around the 10th of the month prior to the start of the content month. You’ll then have 5 days to request any necessary edits before we schedule your content.

If I choose the Hands Off or Hand Holder plan, when will you schedule my content?

Once the 5-day period has passed to make any changes, we will get your content scheduled!  Everything will be ready before the month begins. Sit back and relax!

Can I request a revision or correction of my templates?

If you go with the Hands-Off or Hand Holder package, you’ll receive your customized posts and captions around the 10th of the month prior to the start of the content month at which time you’ll have 5 days to request any necessary edits.

If you are on the Hands On package and notice that something needs changing with the infographic itself, please reach out to us. Otherwise, you are free to customize the templates as you wish within your Canva account.

How do I customize my own posts? What is Canva? Does it cost money?

Canva is a free and easy-to-use tool that allows you to customize graphics with just a few clicks, and with no graphic design experience. Check out our short tutorial here to see just how easy it is to customize one of our templates to compliment your own brand standards.

Can you customize my posts for me?

Yes! Sign up for our Hands Off or Hand Holder subscription and we’ll take care of this work for you every month. Your posts will arrive in your inbox every month ready to run on your social media channels. Once you give final approval, we’ll get everything posted. Our Hands Off and Hand Holder clients also get free custom posts each month. Send us an idea and we’ll create a special post just for your practice.

Can you schedule my posts for me?

Absolutely. Our Hands Off and Hand Holders packages leaves everything to us. We will create your infographics and captions and get them scheduled for you.

What software will you use to schedule my posts? Will I have access to that program?

We will need administrator access to your Facebook Business Suite, which we will use for scheduling your posts. We’ll give you detailed instructions on how to set this up. Since the Facebook account is yours, you’ll have access to everything that is scheduled and can also move posts around or edit them if desired.

I have terrible writer's block/I'm just too busy. Can you write my post captions for me?

Yes! All of our packages contain caption creation.

Help! My office needs a one-off post for something that’s come up (vaccine clinic, office closing, product recall, etc.). Can you help us?

We are happy to develop mid-cycle emergency posts (think formula recall, vaccine approval, etc.) for you! You can request that right here. There is a $100 fee for this priority service.

We love your service. Can you handle all of our marketing?

We do offer additional marketing services such as emails, blogs, and social ad design. Please send us an email at hello@getsomed.com or submit a request here to get your custom service quote.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our services are billed approximately 50 days in advance. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but your cancellation request must be received by the 10th of the month prior to the development month to avoid being charged for that month.

For example, if you do not wish to be charged for October, you must cancel by August 10. Once you have entered the development cycle for any given month (i.e. received the list of topics for that month), you cannot cancel that month, and any cancellation request received will be effective with the next content month.

Can I share your templates with my colleague?

We are happy that you love our work enough that you want to share it! While we don’t allow sharing of our carefully created infographics, you are welcome to refer your colleagues to us for their own subscription. If a new client mentions you referred them, you’ll both get $50 off your next month’s subscription!

Can I sell your posts to another pediatrician?

No. Your license to use our work is limited to only use by you.

How do I know the content you create for me is accurate?

All the information we use, either on the infographic or in the captions, is compiled from reliable sources. We are not responsible for the medical information and advice once it goes onto your social media. We are happy to help if you have any further questions about this.

How do I know I won’t see the same content on another pediatrician’s social feed?

We are careful to provide a wide variety of posts each month for our clients. In addition, not all clients receive the same topic options each month.

But the best thing that sets a so.med client apart? The endless customization options you have with our templates. With a few clicks, you can make each template your own while relying on us to provide consistent, reliable, and professional pediatric content.
